DIY Crayons

If your a mom, you probably have a ton of broken crayons! I know I did. Instead of throwing them out we made new crayons with them! It was a great activity!

Asher loved the concept of breaking the crayons into even smaller pieces. Plus he loved telling me the colors as well.

I then did a coloring activity with the new crayons we made! This was a 2 day process. Here's what you need!

Crayon Activity:

• Broken Crayons
• Silicone Mold
• Oven

Coloring Activity:

• Elmer's Glue
• Paper
• Marker

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 250 degrees
2. Gather all your broken crayons & peel the paper off
3. Place crayons in silicone mold
4. Bake for 15 minutes
5. Let cool for 2 hours
6. Pop new crayons out of mold
7. On a piece of paper spell out your child's name with a marker
8. Using your Elmer's glue trace the letters ( I went over the letters about 3 times because I wanted the glue to stick up higher & be thicker)
9. Let glue dry overnight
10. Place a piece of paper over the paper with the name & glue & let your little one color!
11. There name will show up!
