My bestie and I were on the same page with this one! Alot of the places Asher and I go or the activities we do involve our besties! Anyway, I had already thought about some Halloween crafts to do with Asher. I then recieved a text the next day of what my bestie was thinking!
So together, the 2 of us wrangeled 2 toddlers to make crafts. AND there was NOT even a huge paint mess! Go us! Seriously, as I always say, Asher does NOT sit still at all! Supples: 3 flat canvas Acyrlic Paint( we used white, black, orange, yellow) Foam paint brushes Regular paint brush Puffy paint First we painted the canvas's. 1 orange. 2 black. Let them dry. While one held a little toddler the other painted the bottom of their foot. We did the same for their hands as well. Once we had all the prints on the canvas we let them dry. We then added the finishing touches with the paint brush and also puffy paint!

![]() Just finished up this months food pouches. Usually when I make pouches they last about a month. Which is fantastic because its very rare I get a chunck of time that I am able to get things accomplished. Peach Applesauce: I peeled & cored about a dozen apples & set them on the stove to boil until tender. 1 peach Once the apples were tender I used about half of the pot of apples and combined 1 peach in the blender. Blend until smooth. Orange, Mango, Strawberry, Carrot: 1 Orange (peeled) 1 Mango (peeled) 2 handfuls of Strawberries 2 Carrots (chopped) Add all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Strawberry, Banana, Kale, Spinach: (this combination does not look appealing, but smeels delicious and is Asher approved!) 2 handfuls of strawberries 1 Banana Handful of kale/ spinach mixture 1 Cup yogurt Add all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Mango, Banana, Carrot: 1 Mango 1 Banana 2 Carrots 1 Cup yogurt Add all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Blueberry & Banana: I got a small container of blueberries and used the whole container for this one. 1 Banana 1 Cup of yogurt Add all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth Pear, Apple, Nutmeg, Cinnamon: (not pictured) 2 Pears (peeled, cored, & boiled on stove) 2 Apples (peeled, cored, & boiled on stove) 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon cinnamon Add all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. The last flavor in this picture is just regualr applesauce. I decided to share my pear, apple reciepe instead. I had made this last month and man it was good. I even enjoy this mixture! The weather was very cool and definitely fall weather! We really enjoyed it! Asher does not like to sit still so Weavers Orchard was great because it is all outdoors and he could do pretty much all of the activities that they had. All we had to do was follow Asher around. We went on a "family fun day." Asher was free, but there was a fee for Adam and I. Can I just say how ridiculous I think it is that there are fees for adults. I mean I guess I understand why but it's not like we are actually doing the activities. I guess in a sense we are because we are helping our little ones. But still, always fees! The price actually wasn't too bad. Children 2 & under are free. Adults: $4.50 and $6 for the Hayride. We have taken Asher to now 3 orchards and I absolutely love the orchards. Not only are they beautiful but when you have a super active little toddler that just loves to be on the move, they can go wherever their little hearts desire at the orchards. Some of the activities included were a petting zoo, slide, corn bins, playground, hay-bail area with tunnels, a little maze, and ball launch (which Asher was able to help Adam with and absolutely loved it). The hay ride consisted of a ride to the pumpkin patch where he was able to yet again run free and pick a pumpkin, and a tour through the whole orchard. They also have apple picking here as well. Check out our slideshow! And check out Weaver's Orchard!
Thats right! Pumpkin painting and no mess! Over summer I did a painting activity with Asher that involved no mess. So I thought to myself, "why couldn't I do it the same way, but instead of using canvas, use a pumpkin"?
I will post the summer painting activity later as well. Since it is fall ill share my pumpkin painting! What you will need: A pumpkin Acrylic Paint (how ever many colors you prefer) Cling Wrap I laid a piece of cling wrap on the table and placed the pumpkin on top of it. I then put dots of paint all over the pumpkin. I then folded up the sides of the cling wrap around the pumpkin. I added more cling wrap if areas were sticking out. Once the pumpkin was fuly covered in cling wrap I let Asher go to town smearing the paint all over it! |
