Just finished up this months food pouches. Usually when I make pouches they last about a month. Which is fantastic because its very rare I get a chunck of time that I am able to get things accomplished. Peach Applesauce: I peeled & cored about a dozen apples & set them on the stove to boil until tender. 1 peach Once the apples were tender I used about half of the pot of apples and combined 1 peach in the blender. Blend until smooth. Orange, Mango, Strawberry, Carrot: 1 Orange (peeled) 1 Mango (peeled) 2 handfuls of Strawberries 2 Carrots (chopped) Add all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Strawberry, Banana, Kale, Spinach: (this combination does not look appealing, but smeels delicious and is Asher approved!) 2 handfuls of strawberries 1 Banana Handful of kale/ spinach mixture 1 Cup yogurt Add all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Mango, Banana, Carrot: 1 Mango 1 Banana 2 Carrots 1 Cup yogurt Add all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Blueberry & Banana: I got a small container of blueberries and used the whole container for this one. 1 Banana 1 Cup of yogurt Add all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth Pear, Apple, Nutmeg, Cinnamon: (not pictured) 2 Pears (peeled, cored, & boiled on stove) 2 Apples (peeled, cored, & boiled on stove) 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon cinnamon Add all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. The last flavor in this picture is just regualr applesauce. I decided to share my pear, apple reciepe instead. I had made this last month and man it was good. I even enjoy this mixture! My Child is such a picky eater and the squeezable pouches at the store can be quite pricey. Since Asher was a baby I have always made him his food. So why not keep going as he grows! Sometimes Asher will skip a whole meal a day. I get reassurance that he is recieving the nutrients he needs by making these pouches and knowing that he will at least have 2 to 3 of these a day. Here are some of the most recent yogurt pouches I have made him, that he absoluetly loves. Mango-Raspberry-Kale-Spinach- Carrot: 1 Cup Yogurt 1 Mango (skinned) Handful of Raspberries Handful of kale/spinach mixture ( At Giant I buy Nature's Promise organic premixed kale/spinach) 1 Carrot ( chopped) Add all ingredients to blender, blend until smooth Mixed Berry- kale- spinach: 1 Cup yogurt Handful of blueberries Handful of strawberries Handful of kale/ spinach mixture Add all ingredients to blender, blend until smooth Pear- Banana- kale- spinach- lemon 2 pears( cored, skinned and cook on the stove until tender) 1 banana 1 Cup yogurt Handful of kale/ spinach mixture Half a lemon (juice) Add all ingredients to blender, blend until smooth. The pouches are called Kiinde Twist. They are very afforable! What I love most about these pouches are the tops that you can get to attach to the pouches. They offer a spoon top or a sippy top. These pouches are great for freezing! I usually take a morning and make 3-4 flavors, pour them into pouches, and then freeze the majority and move to fridge as needed!
